How We Can Partner With You

For the professional advisor working with charitable clients in Napa County, the Community Foundation offers:

A cost-free resource for charitable giving.
Since 1994, the Community Foundation has worked with professional advisors to help them assist their clients with charitable giving. Whether your client wants to give now, or create a legacy, we can help you structure a gift that meets their objectives. Quite often, this means suggesting alternatives for your client that don’t involve the Community Foundation, since an important part of our mission is to grow philanthropy in the Napa Valley. (Please click here to see what we mean.)

An ego-free partner that enhances your practice.
The Community Foundation benefits from the strongest possible relationship between you and your client, so we will never eclipse your role. Instead, we’ll seek to enhance it. We can work entirely in the background, for example, unless you want us to meet your client. Or, we can attend every meeting with you. The choice is yours.

Accredited seminars and a monthly newsletter.
The Community Foundation offers four accredited seminars each year in partnership with Napa Valley College Foundation and our two hospital foundations in Napa County. The seminars feature experts in all areas like gift law, taxation and charitable estate planning. We also publish a newsletter that showcases current charitable projects that our staff has evaluated. To sign up for either, please click here.
