Everyone in the (community) pool
The Calistoga community was able to reach its $1.5 million goal to build a much-needed health and recreation facility. Our anonymous donors made $300,000 in matching grants. We also funded a consultant to work with the all-volunteer pool committee and raise money more effectively. The result was greatly accelerated progress: In 18 months, the project raised the final two-thirds of the capital it needed. The City of Calistoga opened its new Community Pool in spring of 2009.
