At Napa Valley Community Foundation, one of the most important jobs we have is stewarding the charitable legacies of others.

In this role, we are sometimes privileged to share the stories of generous everyday people, who create funds at NVCF, through their estate plans, that make our community stronger.

Please click on the image below to read just a few of the stories we are honored to tell.

If you are interested in making a lasting difference in Napa Valley for future generations, there are a host of options that we can provide.

A Legacy Fund can be established as a permanent endowment, or designed to make grants for a fixed period of years (often 10 to 20) before sunsetting.

It can support a broad field of interest (like children's health, or seniors, or animal welfare), or a particular charity (or charities) you choose. Starting a Legacy Fund is easier than you might think, and sometimes produces other benefits for you and your family, such as lower taxes or larger outright gifts to children, grandchildren or others.

If you'd like to learn more, please contact Adrienne Capps, Vice President of Development, at 707.254.9565 ext. 23 or adrienne@napavalleycf.org.

And, if you are an estate planning attorney, CPA, wealth manager, or other professional advisor, we would be pleased to talk about how NVCF can help you support your clients' charitable giving goals -- through their estate plans, or during their lifetimes.

Whatever your situation is, we'd welcome the opportunity to hear your story.
