Did you know that Napa Valley Community Foundation is the largest grantmaking organization in the Valley? Since the beginning of 2025, we’ve made more than $3.1 million in grants to more than 180 nonprofit organizations and schools—and the year’s not over yet! NVCF supports a wide range of causes that benefit Napa County residents, some of which might surprise you.
We do this work in partnership with generous local donors who believe in the power of collective generosity to strengthen our community. Together, we’re a force for good—helping to improve the quality of life for everyone in Napa County.
So far this year, NVCF and our donors have helped fund:
- A bilingual journalist covering stories and topics that matter to Latino communities in Napa Valley
- Spay/neuter and emergency medical care for small animals in Napa County
- Mental health therapy for local first responders and their families
- Meals for homebound seniors who are isolated or unable to shop or cook on their own
- Wildfire resilience projects like fuel reduction and structural hardening for at-risk properties
- Scholarships and programs to help Napa students get to—and through—college
- And so many more excellent projects, programs, and organization
