We help nonprofits make Napa Valley stronger

You need resources and a staging ground for people, strategy and ideas. We are a grantmaking foundation; a philanthropic advisor; and a leader whose only agenda is the wellbeing of all in our community. With a bird’s eye view, we work side-by-side with local donors and the most effective nonprofits to solve the biggest problems our Valley faces.

Our impact here at home

We are a strategic partner to hundreds of Napa County nonprofits. We convene partners and work together to invest in solutions that build the capacity of our local nonprofits and respond to our Valley’s greatest needs. We invest in youth, fight poverty, champion community, recover from disasters and increase the quality of life for everyone.

Learn more about our impact areas:

  • Invest in Youth: prepares children and youth (ages 3-24) to succeed in school and improves their chances of becoming confident and contributing adults.
  • Fight Poverty: supports our Valley neighbors in meeting their basic needs and addresses innovative affordable housing solutions.
  • Champion Community: empowers residents to feel more secure and engaged in the future of the community.
  • Disaster Relief and Recovery: helps the most vulnerable in our community recover from, and prepare for, declared disasters in Napa County.

“NVCF really serves as a leader in Napa Valley – when the Board identifies a challenging or difficult issue in our community, they take on solutions in an equitable and collaborative way.”

Let’s work together to make Napa Valley better for all who live here

We know you work hard and we respect your finite resources. We strive to be responsive to hearing about the needs of local nonprofits, and to make our grant request approach and requirements flexible and proportionate to the size of potential grants. We’d like to learn more about your knowledge of our community and your strengths in addressing gaps, and we’d like to be a resource.
