The Napa Valley Forum 2017 will feature a discussion on “Media, Democracy and Civil Society: The Role of Journalism in the Era of Social Networks, WikiLeaks, Disinformation and Fake News.”
The guest speaker will be Phil Bronstein, executive chair of the board of the Center for Investigative Reporting in Emeryville.
He will give a presentation about today’s media landscape, and what this new landscape may mean for our politics and civic life in America.
The foundation is presenting this nonpartisan educational event in collaboration with the Napa Valley Register.
The program will be Thursday, May 4, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Yountville Community Center in Yountville. It is sponsored by the Napa Valley Community Foundation,
