Daisy Cavalli Scholarship Fund

The Daisy Cavalli Scholarship Fund benefits graduating seniors who attend a Napa Valley Unified School District high school and will be enrolling in a trade school, community college, or four-year college/university.  Recipients will receive funding for each year that they are enrolled as a full-time student.

Who’s Eligible?

Graduating high school seniors who attend a Napa Valley Unified School District high school: American Canyon High School, Napa High School, New Tech High School, Napa Valley Independent Studies, Valley Oak High School or Vintage High School

Candidates must:

  • Be in good academic standing
  • Have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0
  • Be planning to attend a trade/vocational college or a two- or four-year college/university pursuing undergraduate studies
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Participate in community service

Preference is given to first generation college students (i.e. neither parent has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree)

Award Amount:

$5,000 per year

Application Requirements:

  • Completed online application
  • 500 word essay: “Why would you like to attend college? Discuss your career and academic goals. Are there any particular circumstances, school experiences, or persons that influenced your preparation or motivation to attend college (e.g., cultural/financial background, first in your family to attend college, teachers, schools you attended)? Please explain.”
  • List the community service activities in which you have been involved, the number of hours per week you devoted to these activities and the roles and responsibilities you performed. If you have a part-time job or family obligations (including taking care of younger siblings), please tell us how many hours per week you work or perform these duties.
  • A copy of your unofficial transcript
  • A copy of the page from your FAFSA Student Aid Report or California Dream Act Student Aid Report showing your Student Aid Index (SAI)if applicable
  • One academic letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or administrator
