Transforming the Sato Family Nonprofit Center

The modern building, with its low-profile design and generous windows, is enveloped by landscaped gardens featuring mulch and small plants. A rock garden graces the foreground. In the background, trees rise under a clear blue sky, embodying the serene environment fostered by the Napa Valley Community Foundation.

The Sato Family Nonprofit Center is home to our offices and serves as a hub for more than a dozen Napa Valley nonprofit organizations, including 10,000 Degrees, American Red Cross of the North Bay, Arts Council Napa Valley, Community Resources for Children, Girls on the Run, If Given A Chance, Immigration Institute of the Bay Area, Napa Firewise, Napa Valley COAD, Napa Valley Community Foundation, Napa Valley Vine Trail, On the Move, and Rail Arts District Napa.

Napa County nonprofits and community groups can reserve our Community Conference Center — an accessible, modern, and comfortable meeting space — at no charge. This space is designed for activities such as board meetings, staff trainings, and community conversations, accommodating up to 75 people.

After years of careful saving and planning, we are thrilled to share that we’ve recently invested over $1 million to upgrade the Sato Family Nonprofit Center. These enhancements include new interior restrooms, electric vehicle chargers, a 60 kW solar system upgrade, and new patio enclosures that will serve as overflow meeting areas and event spaces. We’ve also revitalized the landscaping with drought-tolerant and native plants. And there’s more to come — a mural marking the Foundation’s 30th anniversary will be added soon and we can’t wait for you to see it!
