Support for Ukraine

An image depicting Ukrainian People, holding hearts made out of paper, colored half blue, half yellow.

The United Nations reports that more than three million Ukrainians have fled their country for safety.

While those able stay behind to defend their nation’s independence, many others — including children and the elderly — are seeking refuge in Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Romania and beyond.

Like many of you, Napa Valley Community Foundation is deeply affronted by the Russian invasion and the dire consequences it has on Ukraine, its people, their neighbors and the world.

Being so far away can make us feel helpless; but there are many ways to help the families of Ukraine.

We have vetted a number of humanitarian organizations (with charitable status in the U.S.) that are providing desperately needed aid to the Ukrainian people. Some are on the ground supplying lifesaving food, water, medical supplies and personal hygiene kits; others are working to bring refugees to safety.

If you are inspired to help, we recommend making a gift to any one of the following nonprofits.  If you hold a Donor Advised Fund with us and would like to make a contribution through your Fund, please visit our Fundholder Services Page, or send an email to GrantsAdmin@NapaValleyCF.org or call our staff at 707.254.9565 x 18.

Peace to all.  Мир усім
