We encourage you to share your grant in one or more of the following ways: post on social media or your website, include it in your email newsletter, send a press release, mention us in brochures, annual reports, or other publications.
How to Acknowledge Your Grant in publications or media:
Donor Advised Fund Grants: use this language
“The (name of Fund) Fund of Napa Valley Community Foundation”
(If not anonymous. If anonymous, simply use “Napa Valley Community Foundation.”)
📌 Example: “This project is supported by The Smith Family Fund of Napa Valley Community Foundation.”
Community Impact Fund Grants: use this language
“The (project/event name) is supported by a grant from the (name of Fund), a Community Impact Fund of Napa Valley Community Foundation.”
📌 Example: “The Youth Wellness Summit is supported by a grant from the Invest in Youth Fund, a Community Impact Fund of Napa Valley Community Foundation.”
Advocacy & Research Disclaimers
If the work supported by your grant expresses opinions or takes a policy position:
“The opinions expressed in this report are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of Napa Valley Community Foundation.”
Thank You Letters and Donor Acknowledgement
You do not need to send a tax receipt, but if you want to send a thank you note to a Fundholder, please email it to: GrantsTeam@napavalleycf.org.
Be sure to use the Fund name listed on your grant letter. Please note that we cannot provide donors’ personal contact information if it is not already included in your grant letter.

- The logo must be used as illustrated and cannot be altered in design. Please follow the logo usage instructions in the NVCF Brand Guidelines pdf in that folder.
