We’re happy to share news of a new funding opportunity for organizations serving Napa County residents with developmental disabilities.
Napa Valley Community Foundation is now accepting proposals for the inaugural grant cycle of the William A. and Theresa N. Boughn Fund. The Fund was created through a generous bequest from the Boughn family in honor of their daughter, Melissa Ann Boughn, who lived with developmental disabilities and spent nearly four decades as a resident of Vine Village. Through their estate, Melissa’s parents entrusted NVCF with supporting charitable organizations that provide residential care, assistance, and related services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Napa County.
Melissa’s life was enriched by Napa County nonprofits, and the Boughn family’s gift gives us the opportunity to carry their legacy forward in her honor by investing in nonprofits that help people with developmental disabilities access the services and supports they need to flourish in the community they call home.
We are seeking proposals from Napa County nonprofits that provide residential care, housing and independent living supports, healthcare and behavioral health services, employment and recreational opportunities, transportation, or other daily living supports for people with developmental disabilities.
We welcome both general operating support requests and program-specific proposals.
